Notes
Before we begin,
clarity helps.
Questions worth answering before the first draft starts.
Creative work becomes easier when expectations are explicit early: confidentiality, feedback, rights, timelines, formats and what each side is responsible for.
The principle
Good creative work needs clear expectations.
Questions about process are not separate from the creative work. They shape how smoothly the work can move, how feedback is handled and how responsibilities are understood.
Starting
What do I need to send first?+
A short description of the project, its current stage, what you need help with and any relevant timeline. A paragraph can be enough.
Can you start from only an idea?+
Yes. We can begin with a premise, situation, theme, character or objective and develop the material from there.
Can you work on an existing draft?+
Yes. Rewriting, structural editing, dialogue polish and targeted development can all begin from existing material.
Working together
How does feedback work?+
Feedback is collected at agreed checkpoints so revisions remain purposeful. Scope and revision rounds are set in the engagement terms.
Do you work with international clients?+
Yes. Projects can be handled remotely across time zones with agreed communication and review points.
Do you offer retainers?+
For suitable ongoing creative requirements, a retainer structure can be discussed. Many projects are handled as defined engagements.
Rights & confidentiality
Do you sign an NDA?+
Yes, where required. Confidentiality can be established before sensitive material is shared.
Who owns the final work?+
Ownership, copyright assignment, licensing and usage are governed by the specific project agreement.
Do you provide ghostwriting?+
Yes, including books, memoirs, speeches and other authored material where confidentiality and attribution terms are agreed in advance.
Delivery
What formats do you deliver?+
Delivery depends on the medium and engagement. Scripts, manuscripts, editable documents, PDFs and supporting creative material can be prepared as required.
Can you work to a fixed deadline?+
Yes, where the scope and review schedule make that deadline realistic. Timing is agreed before the project begins.
What if I am not sure which service I need?+
Describe the outcome you are trying to reach rather than choosing a service name. We can identify the right scope from there.
Still unsure?
You do not need to identify the service before contacting us.
Describe the project, the stage it is at, and what feels unresolved. We can work out the right starting point from there.
